KARACHI: A constitution petition filed by Messers M.B.Tradin FZE, seeking change of consignee name was disposed of by the Custom Appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) with direction to the customs to decide the same within 10 days.

The bench comprising Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Agha Faisal earlier heard Kashif Nazeer Advocate of Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner company registered in Dubai, UAE.

The counsel for petitioner submitted that a consignment of Raw Cotton was shipped to the consignee who is not adhering to the terms of business.

The petitioner company approached Pakistan Customs for the change of name of the consignee but such request was rejected.

The bench was passing the order when counsel of consignee/importer prayed to the court that importer/consignee be also made part of the proceedings.

The bench allowed the request of importer/original consignee also directing the official respondents to decide the issue within next ten days.
