KARACHI: Government of Pakistan has appointed Asim Ahmed, a BS-21 officer of Inland Revenue Service as Chairman Federal Board of Revenue FBR.
Asim Ahmed is presently posted as Member IT, FBR, Islamabad.
Asim Ahmed is from 17th CTP and is the brother of a PCS officer of BS-21 Aamir Ahmed (retd).
He is appointed Chairman FBR for a period of three months. The High Powered Board (HPB) meeting will be held on April 15, 2021, and it is expected Asim Ahmed will be promoted to BS-22 and then he will be regularly appointed Chairman FBR.
Asim Ahmed has assumed the charge of Chairman FBR. Establishment Division issued the notification of his appointment as Chairman FBR was issued after the approval of Cabinet Division.
