KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi has seized 9.4Kg of high quality Hashish at JIAP. The value of the seized narcotics is Rs14 million in international market.
Information was received through Director Khalil Yousufani to Additional Director Rana Tasleem that attempt would be made to smuggle high quality narcotics goods.
Deputy Director Toseef Gorchani assigned Senior Intelligence officer Mohammed Sadiq to foil the attempt and subsequently an operation foiled the attempt of smuggling of huge quantity of high value narcotic substance (Hashish) out of Pakistan.
The Customs Intelligence team has vigilantly followed the intelligence report at Export Gate of AFU, JIAP, Karachi, and on Tuesday, 6th April 2021, succeeded in seizure of high quality Hashish which was being attempted to export to foreign country in the garb of consignment of readymade garments packed in cardboard cartons and boxes.
The recovered narcotics total weighing 9.4 kgs has a value of Rs.14 million in International market. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the real owners/culprits.
