KARACHI: The meeting of Departmental Selection Board (DSB) held on Wednesday and considered promotions of 15 Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) officers from BS-18 to BS-19.
The High Power Board (HPB) meeting to consider promotion of civil servants from BS-21 to BS-22 was also scheduled to be held, however it was postponed after PM Imran Khan tested Covid positive. PM chairs the HPB meeting. Two BS-22 positions are available in PCS.
Sources said that the transfers and postings of officers due last week, were delayed by Chairman FBR Javed Ghani after notification of HPB meeting was circulated.
Newly appointed civil servants have completed their trainings at Customs Training Center. It is hoped that a large scale reshuffling exercise would soon be undertaken to place new assistant collectors in offices as well as post recently promoted officers of BS-19 and BS-20.
