QUETTA: Customs Quetta is pursuing a campaign against non-custom-paid vehicles, and seized nine luxury vehicles worth millions of rupees.
Collector Quetta Irfan Javed gave monitoring task to Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar, who then assigned Deputy Collector Akbar Jan to tighten vigilance on non-custom-paid vehicles.
The vehicles were seized at Lakpas Check Post. Superintendent Aslam Khan, Inspectors Ahmad NAwaz Zehri and Muhammad Hashim took part in the operation.
Chief Collector has issued stern directives to Collector Preventive Irfan Javed that there would be no leniency regarding smuggling and smugglers. Irfan Javed has said that all measures would be taken to stop trade in non-custom-paid vehicles.
It may be mentioned here that Member Customs Tariq Huda has given best anti-smuggling team to Collector Preventive Quetta comprising Deputy Collectors Akbar Jan and Amjad Rajpar and the team is delivering results.
