KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mahmood A Khan ordered issuance of pre-admission notices for Nov 22 to respondent custom officials in a petition filed by Vohra Traders and others.
The petitioners moved the court after challenging a Valuation Ruling (VR) 1387 of 2019 before customs hierarchy Imran Iqbal and Rayan Zia advocates of law firm Expert Law relied on an order passed by this bench in petition filed by Messrs Bilal Brother Industries (CP-D 7129 of 2019). They prayed to the court to order the petitioners to release their consignments.
The bench after a detailed hearing while ordering issuance of pre-admission notices asked the respondents to consider the request of the petitioners for provisional release of their consignments. The respondents were also asked to file comments by next date of hearing.
