LONDON: Maintel Holdings, the cloud and managed service specialist, announced that Ioan MacRae, aged 46, will be joining the Company as Chief Executive Officer on 14 October 2019.
Commenting on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Ioan MacRae said “I am delighted to be joining Maintel at this exciting time in the Company’s development. Maintel has a great reputation, an enviable customer base and a genuinely market-leading proposition with its ICON suite of cloud and managed services. Having worked with Maintel for many years as a strategic business partner, I am thrilled to be joining such a talented team, and to have the privilege of leading the next stage of the Company’s journey.”
Prior to this appointment, Ioan was Managing Director for the UK and Ireland of Avaya, a global leader in communications and has held a number of senior leadership positions in the industry both within the UK and internationally. He has considerable experience in leading businesses through periods of sustained growth.
Maintel’s Chairman John Booth said “Ioan is the perfect candidate to lead the next phase of Maintel’s development. He has significant experience in our sector and a track record of leading successful businesses through times of transition and high growth.”
On formally joining, the Company will grant Ioan an option over 100,000 ordinary shares under the Company’s 2015 Long Term Incentive Plan at market value. A further announcement about this will be made in due course. At the date of this announcement, Ioan does not have any beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.
Ioan Griffith MacRae currently has no other directorships but in the last five years has been a director of Avaya UK and Avaya UK Holdings Limited.
