KARACHI: The Customs staff posted at Drug Enforcement Cell, MCC JIAP, Karachi foiled an attempt to smuggle brown heroin to UK through courier.
On information passed by Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal, Customs staff posted at Drug Enforcement Cell, MCC JIAP, Karachi in active collaboration with a renowned courier company detected brown heroin concealed in a parcel of clothes and ladies shoes.
Detailed examination led to seizure of 305 grams (gross) brown heroin destined to Bradford, UK. The said parcel was booked under the name of Zahid Hussain s/o Jamshed Khan to Hassan Khan s/o Khan, Bradford Uk.
Six ladies suits and three pairs of sandals were packed in parcel. Two out of three pairs of sandals were filled with heroin.
The tentative value of seized narcotics is Rs3 million.
