It was known, that FBR is not satisfied with investigation in the murder case of Deputy Collector Abdul Qudoos, after reports appeared that the murder accused Haji Sadiq Sanjrani, an Afghan national involved in several heinous crimes, is being given VIP protocol by the local police.
Sanjrani is a notorious smuggler and criminal who has established a smuggling network across the country. Sanjrani has also links with senior officers in Customs and law enforcement agencies.
Sources said, Haji Sadiq Sanjrani will be shifted to Islamabad so that investigation could be conducted in a transparent manner.
Just after Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered culmination of smuggling, Sanjrani’s associates attacked a Civil Servant of Pakistan (CSP), which tantamounts an open challenge to the state’s writ, and yet the Police is treating smuggler/criminal like a VIP.
