KARACHI: Drug Enforcement Cell of MCC JIAP, Karachi, has foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics abroad and seized brown heroin powder worth Rs5.0 million.[the_ad id=”31605″]The staff posted at Drug Enforcement Cell (DEC) MCC JIAP, Karachi, pursuant to an information to the effect that narcotics would be smuggled to UK through a courier service, mounted vigilance and spotted a parcel of ladies hand bags and shoes /sandals booked by accused Aftab Alam s/o Muhammad Jamal Uddin resident of University Road, Karachi, at DHL courier service to be shipped to Bradford, United Kingdom.
The detailed examination of the said parcel led to recovery of 500 grams of brown Heroine powder tactfully concealed in ladies hand bags and shoes, the smuggled brown Heroine powder have been seized. The value of seized goods is more than Rs5 million. FIR is being lodged to arrest consignor and to initiate investigations to bust a gang behind this nefarious activity.
