KARACHI: The Federal Cabinet has approved renewal of Regular Public Transport (RPT) License of Airblue Limited with effect from November 20, 2018 to November 19, 2019.[the_ad id=”31605″]The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan ratified the decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet in its meeting held on February 26, 2019.

Airblue Limited is Pakistan’s second largest airline with a growing share of the domestic market.

Airblue’s fleet consists of next-generation Airbus A320 and A321 aircrafts.

Airblue operates scheduled flights linking six domestic destinations Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot and Multan with international destinations of UAE airports Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, as well as Muscat, Oman, Jeddah, Riyadh and most recently Dammam.

Cabinet reviewed the progress on implementation of government’s reform agenda and expressed satisfaction over the steady progress being made in critical areas such as legal reforms, introduction of a new local government system to empower people at grassroots level, promotion of Green Growth, implementation of select water initiatives, FATA reforms, Balochistan reconciliation, poverty alleviation, Sarmaya-i-Pakistan and National Agriculture Emergency Program etc.

Cabinet approved the proposal regarding reconstitution of Board of Directors of Pakistan Revenue Automation (Private) Limited (PRAL).

Cabinet also approved Heads of the Terms of the Host Government Agreement between Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and TAPI Pipeline Company Limited on implementing TAPI Gas Pipeline project.
