ISLAMABAD: Zulfikar Bukhari, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development was Chief Guest at an event organized by Naz Shah, Member British Parliament, in Bradford, United Kingdom, says a press release received here today from London.
The leaders of the Pakistani business community in UK attended the event and apprised the Special Assistant of their concerns and problems. Zulfikar Bukhari listened to their problems and assured them that the government is working on the facilitation of Pakistani expats.
He said that a positive change in Pakistan is already evident. “The incumbent government is reaching out and encouraging Pakistanis all over the world to invest in their homeland,” Zulfikar Bukhari While speaking to the Pakistani business community, Zulfikar Bukhari said that the government would facilitate overseas Pakistanis in all domains.
It is time for the Pakistani business community to come forward and utilize its skills and resources for the development of their home, he said. Zulfikar Bukhari said that the previous governments did not work on ease of doing business.
However, the current government’s main focus is on attracting overseas Pakistanis which is why the new system of e-visas is being introduced, he added. He expressed his commitment by saying that with the current government in office, every Pakistani expat would feel a sense of ownership that is unprecedented.
I have the task to meet Pakistani expats all over the world and to give them the assurance that they are being looked out for. The Special Assistant emphasized the need to invest in Pakistan and said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team are working on creating an investor-friendly environment in Pakistan.
Pakistan is the future investment destination for the world and there are endless opportunities for the Pakistani business community of the UK.
At the end of the event, he thanked MP Naz Shah and the participants by saying, “I feel encouraged to see such response from the Pakistani community in the UK, everyone is willing to give and that defines the love that every Pakistani expat has in his or her heart even after being away from their homeland for so many years”.
