KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Karachi has seized smuggled goods worth Rs40 million in a week.
ASO wing of Customs Intelligence & Investigation conducted several operations in various parts of Karachi in coordination with local place and seized large quantity of smuggled goods including betel nut, carpet, diesel oil, cloth and vehicles including a Hino truck, Mazda Truck, a Toyota Crown, a Toyota corolla and Suzuki Pickups.
An official said, after Muhammad Zahid Khokhar assumed the office of Director General Customs Intelligence & Investigation, he initiated restructuring the Customs Intelligence & Investigation and posted efficient and well reputed officials and officers on key positions, which had started to yield results.
