ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) provisionally collected Rs1.779 trillion during first half of the current fiscal year (July-December 2018-19), up 3.0 percent compared with the collection in the same period last year.
However, the FBR’s revenue collection fell short by Rs170 billion as against the target of Rs1.949 trillion.
For December 2018 alone, the collection clocked in at Rs405 billion, against the target of Rs470 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs65 billion.
