KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan on Friday ordered Collector of Customs to decide an appeal filed by Hasnain and Sons in two week time.

The petitioner challenged the suspension of license by the department on the basis of a complaint that bills of petitioners include references to payment of ‘speed money’ (for speedy clearance of consignments).

A counsel from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner submitted that even the complainant withdraw complaint yet, license remains suspended. He also objected to the delay in hearing.

The bench after hearing the counsel for the department directed the Collector Customs to decide the appeal pending before him in 2 weeks.
