KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Agha Faisal restrained Pakistan Customs from harassing an importer of the concrete mixer trucks while seeking a reply that on what ground they are delaying the release of the imported vehicles.
The bench earlier heard a petition filed by Haji Saeed and Sinco Traders through Franklin Law Associates, The counsel for petitioners submitted that respondent personally got the Pre Shipment Inspection Certificate verified from relevant authorities after which detention of the vehicles used in construction industry become loss for the importer.
As Dr Shahnawaz, newly hired counsel by Pakistan Customs was not ready to argue the case, the bench adjourned further proceedings till April 26 for a final hearing and judgment.
