KARACHI: Notices were issued to the respondents for March 20 in a petition filed by a clearing agent who challenged inclusion of his name in the Exit Control List for alleged ISAF containers case.
The bench earlier heard Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the petitioner Muhammad Qaseem, a border agent from Quetta, Balochistan. According to the petition federal ministry of interior issued a memorandum on March 05, 2014 placing the names of 28 Clearing, Forwarding agents for their alleged role in pilferage of containers meant for ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) fighting freedom lovers in Afghanistan.
The counsel seeking removal of name of her client from ECL, she maintained that the applicant/petitioner was acquitted of charges by an Accountability Court (ACC-III), Karachi vide judgment dated June 13, 2015 along with co-accused while NLC was held responsible for the alleged crime.
The bench after initial hearing ordered issuance of notices to the Ministry of Interior, Chairman NAB, DG Passport & Immigration besides ACC III for March 20.
