KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial on Friday sought a reply from Pakistan Customs regarding confiscated grey fabric for being smuggled item.
Earlier a lawyer from Franklin Law Associates submitted that a part of consignment was being detained for having stamp “Ckecker D.l.Sharma” while two other stamps including one of Checker SITE Karachi and Checker Faisalabad were being ignored. These are not goods from a country/origin import from which is banned, the counsel for petitioners submitted.
The bench asked the department to come up with a reply or release the goods by next date of hearing fixed to be Jan 12.
