KARACHI: The hearing of a suit filed by Customs Clearing Agents Association was put of till Dec 07 by a Customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) here yesterday.

The bench comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial heard arguments advanced by Hyder Shaikh advocate of Franklin Law Associates appearing on behalf of plaintiff Faisal Mushtaq, President and Amir Ahmed, General Secretary of the association.

The plaintiffs challenged a notice issued by Registrar Joint Stock Companies conveying that the elections of the association are null and void. The notice was served after rival candidate Muhammad Yahya challenged the recounting of votes and maintained that it was illegal as per articles of the association as well as other relevant laws.

The counsel for plaintiffs however maintains that recounting is a legal process and there are series of judgments on the issue.

The bench however due to paucity of time put of further hearing tilldec 07.
