KARACHI: MCC Peshawar made a remarkable performance in the outgoing quarter ended September 30, 2017, as the collectorate with concerted efforts has for the first time not only achieved the custom duty collection target but also surpassed the target assigned in respect of overall duty and taxes.
Due to good planning and team work, the Collectorate under the leadership of Collector Gul Rehman has collected an amount of Rs1.828 billion as against the assigned target of custom duty amounting to Rs1.803 billion.
The Collectorate’s net all duty / taxes collection is Rs5.077 billion as against FBR assigned target of Rs4.416 billion. It is pertinent to mention that during the corresponding period of last year (2016-17), custom duty to the tune of Rs1.592 billion was collected and an amount of Rs4.062 billion was collected as overall duty and taxes.
Thus the Model Custom Collectorate has done brilliant job to reach the target revenue collection during the first quarter of Financial year 2017-18.
