KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh, comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan on Tuesday suspended show cause notice and a notice of recovery issued to Nishat Textile Mills here yesterday.

Earlier Ghulam Hyder Shaikh advocate appearing for the petitioner/appellant submitted that six consignments of LED lights were imported in 2014. Three years after, Post Clearance Audit (PCA) of Pakistan Customs rose from a slumber to take coercive action against the petitioner, he said adding that PCA no jurisdiction as it was a dispute of classification value. The PCA is now resorting to coercive action, recovery, he alleged.

The bench after hearing the arguments of counsel for petitioner, the bench suspended the show cause notice as well as recovery notice while putting of further hearing indefinitely in view of summer vacations.
