KARACHI : An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan on Friday returned two oil tankers filled with alleged smuggled oil.

The Custom Authorities on an order of production of the vehicles brought in the two tankers. The Nazir of the court who was to take custody of the two was told that these vehicles are filled with oil. The fact was brought into the notice of the court and consequence in case of an accident or fire.

The bench in view of above, ordered the Custom officials to take back the oil tankers, de-fill the same and produce the same again on May 02, 2017. The appellant was represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate.

The same bench in another case pertaining to detention of a Toyota, Hilux Surf fixed April 28 as next date of hearing.

The same bench hearing another petition about detention of construction vehicles fixed May 02 as next date of hearing as counsel for Pakistan Customs Kafeel Ahmed Abbasi advocate was unable to attend the court for the day.
