KARACHI: MCC Quetta in joint operations with FC has seized large quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs12.95 million. The seized include new and used tyres, welding rods and motorcycle parts.
In pursuance of information received from the Collector of Customs Saeed Jadoon that foreign origin goods would be smuggled from Afghanistan through un-frequented routes into the country, Deputy Collector Preventive Junaid Mehmood along with FC staff at Muslim Bagh Check Post stopped two vehicles loaded with smuggled goods.
On asking no any legal / import documents of the said goods were produced by any one on the spot. Therefore, the staff of Customs Check Post, Yaroo/MS took possession of the said vehicles along with smuggled goods and seized the same.
