KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of steel files vide valuation ruling No.958/2016.
The customs values of steel files were earlier determined vide valuation ruling No.526/2012. Since, the values were over three years old, an exercise was initiated to determine the values of goods afresh.
Director Wasif Memon formed a team comprising Additional Director Imran Bukhari, Deputy Director Abdul Qudos and Principal Appraiser Ashfaq Ahmed.
The Directorate has also categorized steel files as per sizes and country of origin. Earlier ruling only mentioned the customs values of steel files in just one size and only Indonesia origin.
