KARACHI: A divisional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) summoned Collector Customs, Model Customs Collectorate, Hyderabad on Aug 23 in two different but identical applications for contempt of court.

According to details, one of the petitions was filed by Fuel Traders and another by Muhammad Sharif against sale of the allegedly smuggled High Speed Diesel Oil (HSD) despite an order of the restraint.

They maintained that alleged contemnor is not only violating the order of the high court but was also not returning the vehicles (Oil tanker). The action by the MCC Hyderabad was mala-fide and harassment as these vehicles were either the sole source of income or backbone of the operation of the company.

The bench after hearing the counsel for applicant issued notices of the contempt applications to the alleged contemnors for Aug 25 and 23 respectively.
