MCC Islamabad seizes 20kg heroin
KARACHI: Customs staff of MCC Islamabad at Islamabad Airport seized a huge consignment of 20Kg refined heroin worth Rs200 million artfully concealed in 136 embroidered Ladies stitched suits from a UK bound Passenger, Waseem, travelling via PK785 to London.
Accused smuggler is a British passport holder with Pakistani lineage who is arrested. FIR is lodged under Customs Act and further investigations are underway.
This is a consecutive major detection of heroin in quick succession by MCC Islamabad.
Chief Collector of Customs and Collector MCC Islamabad Arslan Subuctageen visited the Airport Customs Office to appreciate the staff for vigilant action and professional acumen and recommended reward commensurate performance as prescribed in relevant reward rules.
The seizing staff has been directed to complete the investigations at the earliest.
