KARACHI: Pakistan Customs Preventive staff posted at Jinnah International Airport departure arrested a Nigerian passenger travelling to Lagos Nigeria and recovered 900 grams of white heroin from his possession. An FIR has been lodged to this effect.

The case was detected by Deputy Collector Amjad Laghari. The passenger was departing to Lagos Nigeria by Qatar Airways flight no QR 605. He was intercepted on suspicion and upon examination 900 grams off white heroin powder worth Rs10 million in international market was recovered. It was cleverly stitched in jeans trousers of the passenger.

All the formations are keeping strict vigilance on air passenger traffic as part of the anti-smuggling campaign being pursued by the authorities including Chief Collector Enforcement Zahid Khokhar and Collector Preventive Tariq Huda and Additional Collector Tahir Qureshi.
