KARACHI: The Senior Management Course (SMC) for the promotion of Grade-19 Customs Officers into Grade-20 is starting from September 06, 2014 simultaneously in Karachi and Lahore. The Course would last till January 2015.
Additional Collectors Wajid Ali, Amir Rasheed Shaikh, Chaudry Javed and Dr. Saifuddin Junejo would attend the training course in Karachi while Additional Collectors Abdul Qadir Memon, Imran Mehmund, Dr. Akhtar hussain, Junaid Jalil Khan, Zulfiqar Yunus, Irfan ur Rehman would go to Lahore.
Officials said that the recent promotions in Grade-20 were a surprise move and Additional Collectors Wajid Ali, Amir Rasheed Shaikh, Dr. Junejo, Zulfiqar Yunus and Abdul Qadir Memon were deprived of the promotions because they had not done SMS while officers junior to them became Collectors.
