KARACHI: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is visiting Customs House, Karachi on Monday and would held meetings with the senior officers of Pakistan Customs. Member Customs, Nisar Mohammad Khan would also be present on the occasion.
This is the first time that Chairman FBR would be visiting Customs House Karachi since he assumed the office.
It was known that all the Model Customs Collectorates (MCC) including Appraisement East and Appraisement West Karachi, MCC Port Qasim, MCC Preventive, MCC Hyderabad, MCC Gawadar and MCC Quetta would give briefing to the Chairman FBR.
The Chairman would held meetings with the senior officers, deliberate upon the reasons of declining duty collection and would discuss measures to increase revenue collection through plugging leakages.
MCC Preventive has taken strict security measures in this regard and encroachments around Customs House have been removed.
