KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan on Monday disposed off a petition filed by Simco Corporation which imported three concrete mixer trucks after petitioner stated that department is ready to release the vehicles.
The three trucks were imported for construction industry. Pakistan Customs refused the release on ground that special certificate needed for the assessment of custom duty, taxes etc was not available. The counsel for petitioner told the bench that custom officials have agreed to release the vehicles if petition is withdrawn.
The bench allowing the request ordered officials to release the same while petitioner was asked to file a case again if orders passed today are not complied.
