KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan on Thursday disposed off a number of identical petitions pertaining to Asphalt Paver machines imported by different construction companies.
The petitions were filed by Sachal Construction Company, Zarghoon Construction Company, Eastern Construction Company and Falcon Heavy Construction Company through Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen Advocate.
As the petitions came up for hearing she submitted that condition of the PSI (Pre Shipment Inspection) has been met and that relief of interim release has already been given to the petitioner side. She also pointed out the order of the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal.
The bench after hearing arguments and perusing the order of appellate tribunal disposed of the petitions with the direction to the Pakistan Customs to adjudicate the matter after issuing the show cause to the importers/petitioners.
