KARACHI: The Collectors of Customs Conference will be held at FBR House Islamabad on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

The main agenda for the conference is revenue analysis, strategy to achieve targets in the coming months, challenges and way forward.

All chief collectors and collectors from across the country would attend the conference and deliver presentations.

Member Customs would preside over the event while Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) would also speak on the occasion. Chief T&T FBR Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad would present an overview of revenue collection.

The conference would also discuss implementation of Valuation Rulings and Valuation guidelines at all the MCCs while anti-smuggling campaign would also be discussed at length.

Sources said there are chances of drastic change in the assessment mechanism and roles of appraising officers, principal appraisers, assistant/deputy collectors may also be redefined along with introduction of a new module in WeBOC System.
