KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday said that the officials could avail leave or rest in phases as to achieve budgetary targets of tax collection in months ahead.
According to a notification, it is observed that FBR officers and field formation staff are availing rest and recreation leaves for the month of July and August due to the reason many important functions of collection and monitoring taxes are being left unattended.
Therefore, FBR informed all the members/chief collectors/chief commissioners/director generals and collectors to allow rest and recreation leaves in phases in a way that crucial tasks of tax collection should not affect.
Similarly, FBR said that the respective heads of field formations should recommend applications of the officers after careful analysis in view of the fact that the revenue generating efforts must not be compromised in any way.
