Karachi: The Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman, H.E Sami Abdullah Salim Al Khanjari, has invited Karachi’s traders to invest in Oman, stating that there are vast opportunities for investment that could offer significant benefits to Karachi’s business community. New trade avenues can be explored in Oman, including the petrochemical sector, where joint ventures and business agreements can bring the business communities of both countries closer together, positively impacting their economies and further strengthening economic ties.

Oman CG expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation led by the Chairman of the Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA), Salim Valimuhammad, at the Omani Consulate. The delegation included Chief Coordinator Arif Balgamwala, Imran Chatti, and Ahmed Jehangir.

The Consul General invited the PCDMA delegation to visit Oman, explore the petrochemical sector along with other industries, and arrange business-to-business meetings with Omani traders, which will be organized by the Consulate. He also announced that visa facilitation would be carried out by the consulate based on the PCDMA recommendation. The Consul General emphasized the importance of promoting mutual trade between the two countries and further strengthening economic relations, agreeing on collaborative cooperation.

Chairman PCDMA, Salim Valimuhammad, gave a detailed briefing to the Consul General about the chemicals & dyes sector and discussed the available opportunities in Oman, particularly related to the import of industrial raw materials. He also discussed the availability of business-to-business meetings, contacts, and trade opportunities with Omani traders.

He welcomed the Consul General’s invitation for the delegation’s visit and stated that the exchange of delegations between the two countries would promote mutual trade and expand business connections, helping Pakistan and Oman meet each other’s trade needs.
