KARACHI: Home Solutions, importer of tiles filed an appeal before Collector Customs challenging the Order in Original (ONO) and show cause issued.
According to details, the appellant/importer, imported tiles in Hexagonal shape and declared the measurement as 3327 square meters as per international standard method.
The custom department questioned the measurement and held that importer mis-declared the measurement which according to customs was 3966 meters. A show cause was issued while the importer filed an appeal, an ONO was also issued against them. However in the intervening period, Deputy Collector Customs deciding a representation by the importer declared the measurement by the importer was correct. In view of conflicting orders, the importer filed an appeal before Collector Customs, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim to be heard in next week.
