KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed major penalty on three BS-16 officials of MCC Port Qasim.
Principal Appraiser Ghulam Murtaza, Examining Officers S.M. Fawad and Ms. Khizra Saeed have been imposed major penalty of ‘reduction to a lower stage in time scale (two stages lower)’.
Their performance allowance would also be stopped for one year from the date of award of penalty.
Shafiq Ahmad Latki, Additional Collector, MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Karachi was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct inquiry on account of various acts of omission and commission committed by the accused officer constituting Inefficiency, Misconduct & Corruption.
The Inquiry Officer submitted inquiry report according to which the charge of “Inefficiency” was established against the accused officers.
The Member (Admn) FBR being Authority in this case, after having considered all aspects of the case and the recommendations of the Authorized Officer has therefore, imposed the major penalty of “Reduction to a lower stage in time scale – (two stages lower)” upon the above mentioned officers.
