KARACHI: Acting President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) Altaf A. Ghaffar has announced that the Karachi Chamber will remain operational from 9:30AM to 6:00PM on forthcoming Saturday (30th March) and Sunday (31st March) whereas the Office Timing from 9:30AM to 3:00PM will also be observed on Friday, 29th March 2024 to facilitate the process of membership renewal.
“The decision to enhance office timings and keep KCCI operational on Sunday has been taken as this year, the last date for membership renewal, i.e. 31st March, is falling on Sunday”, he said while advising all members to renew their KCCI membership at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience.
Acting President KCCI mentioned that the Chamber has already intimated its members through letters, emails and SMS service that the membership of Karachi Chamber shall expire on 31-03-2024 thus all members must get their membership renewed on or before 31-03-2024 by submitting prescribed membership fee along with proof of filing of last income tax and sales tax returns, if applicable. “To facilitate Members, the Karachi Chamber, for the very first time, has established Faysal Bank Cash Counter within KCCI’s premises so that members could easily submit their renewal fee in a hassle-free environment”, he added.
Altaf Ghaffar cautioned that in case an existing member could not get the membership renewed on or before 31st March 2024, his/her membership shall cease automatically and to become KCCI member again, they will have to go through the entire re-admission process.
It is pertinent that as KCCI has provided various options for submission of membership renewal fees hence, members can submit their fee either via online banking or by submitting bank challan at any branch of Bank Al-Habib, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Meezan Bank Limited, Faysal Bank Limited or through Upaisa App, or in shape of pay order to be submitted at KCCI while the payment receipt along with income tax returns must be sent to KCCI. If any member has not received payment challan, the membership department can be contacted during office hours for assistance. Moreover, KCCI was also speedily issuing Membership cards and certificates to its members which are needed for various purposes.
