Pakistan’s Liquid Foreign Reserves Position

The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 14,678.9 million as of 28-Oct-2022. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

1. Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$  8,912.9 million
2. Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks :  US$  5,766.0 million
3. Total liquid foreign reserves                : US$ 14,678.9 million

During the week ended on 28-Oct-2022, SBP’s reserves increased by US$ 1,473 million to US$ 8,912.9 million. This increase is attributed to the receipt of US$ 1,500 million from ADB.
