KARACHI: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has urged the government to accord due importance to the logistics sector, which is equally important like banking, leasing and insurance.
UNISAME president Zulfikar Thaver urged the government to recognize the importance of efficient logistics, which encompasses all aspects of goods transit.
“Warehouse financing and collateral management also come under logistics,” Thaver said. A meeting of goods transporters held at UNISAME urged the government, the ministry of port and shipping and the transport authorities to form a coordinated policy to facilitate the transport and logistics sector.
