KARACHI: Sharjeel Jamal of U-Trade Logistics has approached Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement South lodging a complaint against examination staff at South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT).
Sharjeel Jamal noted they filed GD for refrigerated gas R143A and the goods were sent for examination for further verification. However, in examination report examining officer malafidely deducted tare weight without giving any cogent reason only because no one approached them.
Jamal added that if no approached the examination staff, they would deduct tare weight to the extent of 100kg to 600kg without mentioning per carton gross weight or net weight. Moreover, the consignments are not always weighted through weighbridge.
Sharjeel Jamal requested the chief collector to take appropriate measures in this regard.
