KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan ordered release of consignments of tiles in terms of an order passed earlier in another petition challenging imposition of Regulatory Duty (RD).
The bench previous ordered release of consignment of different kinds of imported goods on payment of 50 per cent of customs and tax dues with the department and 50 per cent with the Nazir of the SHC.
The same bench deferred hearing of a constitutional petition filed by Zarghon Construction Company limited till Jan 24. The petitioner company seeks release of Asphalt Paver machine which has been detained for being imported against recent import policy.
