KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial on Thursday ordered production of a truck confiscated on ground that it was used for transporting smuggled goods.
The bench hearing a petition filed by Long Khan, owner of the truck ordered custom authorities of Hyderabad collectorate to produce the truck on Nov10.
The same bench also adjourned hearing of four more identical petitions challenging imposition of Regulatory Duty ordering release of goods on payment of 50 per cent of RD with the department and 50 per cent with Nazir of SHC as interim arrangement.
The bench earlier heard team member of Franklin Law Associates appearing for Dar Enterprises and three other importers.
