KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain on Friday ordered release of a consignment of toilet soap imported by H N Brothers.
Earlier the court heard Talal Tariq Khursheed advocate of Franklin Law Associates who submitted that the Director General Valuation has enhanced the valuation in the presence of Valuation Ruling. The counsel sought relief as given in an identical matter CP 4790 and SCRA 744 of 2016 wherein the court has ordered release of goods on payment of custom duty and taxes as per valuation ruling.
The bench also ordered to tag this petition with a huge bunch of petitions involving identical question of law and fixed for hearing in third week of April.
