KARACHI: Director Internal Audit Customs, Karachi Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh has forwarded an application to Member Admin-FBR of Inland Revenue Audit Officer BS-18 Adeel Ahmed Shah seeking transfer back to his parent department i.e. Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), Karachi.
Adeel Ahmed Shah invited attention of Member Admin-FBR to the Board’s policy whereby it was ordained that officer (BS-16 to BS-19) who are working in the same position against a specific post for three years should be transferred.
Adeel Ahmed Shah along with other Inland Revenue Audit Officers including Ahsan Ashraf, Asim Ghazi, Saleem Ahmed and Laiq Hasan are posted at Directorate of Internal Audit Customs for over eight years and performing the same task.
These officers in confirming with the spirit of aforementioned policy seek transfer to their parent department.
Similarly, Superintendents Shah Khursheed, Abdul Qadeer, Shahid Jafry, Waqar Haider, Appraiser Zikr-ur-Rehman, Inspector Qurban Ali Shaikh and many others are posted at same position and performing same task for over eight years and have not been moved.
An official said the above mentioned officials and officers had earned experience both in Customs and Inland Revenue and were assets for the department. Their skills and experience should be utilized in the interest of the department.
The official said these persons could prove to be much more valuable if posted in Customs Intelligence or IRS Intelligence.
