KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Yousuf Ali Saeed on Friday ordered provisional release of consignments against payment of custom duty, taxes etc at declared value besides security for assessed value.
The bench earlier heard Talal Tariq advocate, counsel for Adil Traders and Mariam Enterprises who relied on an earlier order passed by the court in Constitution Petition CP-D 4790 on 9-9-2016 and said these two petitions filed by three importers also involve identical issue of illegal enhancement by the Director General, Valuation while passing Order in Revision.
The bench after confirming the fact from respondent Customs, Valuation allowed provisional release of the soap consignments and also ordered fixing these with other identical petitions to be heard on Feb 22.
