KARACHI: Syed Faiz Rasool Rashidi, Judge, Special Customs Court, Karachi on Monday admitted an importer Saleem Ahmed of Rahat Impex to bail against a solvent surety of rupees 200,000.
The accused was booked by Collectorate of Custom, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations for under invoicing. Zia-ul-Hasan advocate represented the accused and submitted that it was a case of further evidence and that accused was not involved in any alleged act of evading duty on the basis of mis-declaration. The accused has joined the investigations as per directives of the High Court of Sindh and is cooperating in the investigations, counsel for applicant/accused submitted before the trial court.
The accused was earlier admitted to preventive bail by a division bench of High Court of Sindh with the direction to cooperate in the investigations.
