KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has forwarded the directives of Finance Division to enforce certain austerity and economic measures during the financial year 2015-16.
Accordingly, there will be complete ban on purchase of all types of vehicles both for current as well as development expenditure except operational vehicles of law enforcing agencies for which NOC from Finance Division would be required.
Creation of new posts will be banned except those required for development projects and approved by competent authority.
Entitlement of periodical, magazines etc of all officers will remain restricted to only one daily newspaper.
Serving of official lunches and dinners would be restricted while principal accounting officers will ensure rationalization of utility bills while remaining within the available budget as no re-appropriation will be authorized to/from utilities.
