KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Friday ordered Pakistan Customs Valuation Department to come up with a proper assessment order in respect of a consignment of shampoo.

The bench was hearing a constitution petition filed by Asad & Sons through Franklin Law Associates challenging the assessment based on valuation advice instead of valuation Ruling as per section 25-D of the Customs Act 1969.

The petitioner also challenged the show cause and notice for encashing security. The bench after a detailed hearing fixing Sept 7 for further hearing, ordered the department to come up with proper assessment order as persection 25-d of the Customs Act 1969.
