RAWALPINDI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation – Rawalpindi has expedited the anti-smuggling campaign.
In compliance with directions of DG I&I Faiz Ahmed, Director Irfan Wahid and Additional Directors Shahid Jan and Naveed Bugwi have increased vigilance and further mobilized intelligence network, which resulted in significant increase on seizures.
The staff of I&I Rawalpindi recently seized container coming through CPEC route containing smuggled goods in various anti-smuggling operations.
The seized goods include cigarettes different brands, cloth assorted varieties, shopping bags, cooking oil, tyres, etc.
Further, the directorate also seized six smuggled/NCP vehicles including Jaguar 2010 Model, Toyota Crown 2014 Model, Prado Land Cruiser 2021, Prius, Honda Reborn, Aqua. Approximate value of the seized goods/vehicles amounts to Rs80 million.
