Quetta: Customs Intelligence & Investigation Quetta in a major offensive against smuggling successfully raided two warehouses of smuggled goods in Quetta.
In line with the directives of DG I&I Faiz Ahmad Chadhar, the Regional Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Quetta successfully conducted an intelligence based operation on the basis of intel provided by the Intelligence Bureau Baluchistan and carried out a night long operation.
During the operation two warehouses of smuggled goods were raided at Saryab Road Quetta as a result huge quantities of smuggled goods were seized which include cigarettes, betel nuts, vapes and Indian origin pan parag etc. Approximate value of these goods is more than Rs650 million.
The whole night operation by the Regional Directorate was monitored and supervised by the Director General Faiz Ahmed.
The successful joint operation was carried out by the Regional Directorate with all out support, cooperation and coordination by the Intelligence Bureau, FC (North) and District police Quetta.
The most significant aspect of this night long operation is that the Regional Directorate of Customs Intelligence Quetta successfully dealt a major blow to the smuggling mafia, their supporters and investors in the area.
This will encourage future anti smuggling operations in this and other such notorious dumping sites and godowns and will boost present anti smuggling drive by the customs Intelligence in Baluchistan.
Further proceedings in the case have been initiated in accordance with law.
